Renaming your AutoText Entry in MS Word


So now you know that you can create special AutoText entries to use in your documents. But wait, suppose you have a need to rename it at a later date?

Well rest easy.  There is a very easy method to accomplish this task.

Follow the steps below to learn how:

  1. Insert your AutoText entry in your document.
  2. Select the text/graphic you just inserted.
  3. Create a new AutoText entry using the new name.
  4. Delete the old AutoText entry.
