  1. Why did you stop me from getting your news letter? Because I told the truth about the adware and spam mail with the daily giveaway? Really?
You could at least be be honest and email me, right?

Hey viewers I will post this on Facebook as well as to no personal email response. Obviously they blocked me for what reason?

    Sent to 1,256 Facebook friends.

You used to respond personally as to why, now you dont care and want people to get bad free daily giveaway crap right?

    1. Brian,
No one here is stopping you from getting the newsletter. No one! You may not know this, but DCT has no control of the newsletter after it leaves our server. None!

The daily giveaway is provided by a 3rd party. Always has been. Always will be. It contains NO spyware. They will send email, and every email has an unsubscribe link, which is acceptable when something is of value is provided to you for FREE. It should be pretty apparent when you enter your email address to receive the software.

I’ve responded to you personally 3 times and each time you mumble nonsense and start a new comment on a completely different page that has nothing to do with the conversation, which is bad internet etiquette and confusing to anyone trying to follow this rambling conversation.

Now, DCT is my house and I enjoy having guests at my home. As such I have many visitors. We engage in respectful conversations, exchange information about computers and technology, as well as enjoy each other’s company. If you cannot abide by those rules, and continue to threaten me, my authors, my visitors, or DCT then I request that you leave my home and not return.

        1. If you take the time to read WOT, which is where you seem to be basing your assumptions, you will notice it has a VERY high rating and is labelled a “Good” site.

  2. Fine. I will abide. You do seem upset more than is needed. I was not trying to be disrespectful and said that when I used the freeware giveaways I started getting spam mail from sites that were traced back to Sharwareonline. I asked why and received no reply. You say it contains no spyware. That is not what I said. I said spam mail. Does it send out spam mail then? Is that why you are saying the unsubscribe link. That is what I was pointing out. Nothing more.

I did no mean to be rude. I apologize if it cam across that way. I am sorry and will leave your home.

  3. Because I told the truth about the adware and spam mail with the daily giveaway?

that the daily giveaway can include spyware.

that the daily giveaway is not really free and includes spyware and email issues. OK?

Brian, in case you have forgotten here are 3 instances where you’ve mentioned that the Daily Giveaway contains Spyware or Adware.

Spam is unsolicited email. If you submit your email address to most anywhere you have given them the address and can expect to receive email at that address. It’s why they ask.

As far as leaving, I don’t mind if you stay, but the constant posting of comments that are falsely accusing DCT of supporting and/or endorsing spyware and/or adware have got to stop.

  4. OK this is on the DCT hosted site of the Daily Giveaway that I found. I guess I am confused then.

    Mindspark

Mindspark is a marketing company that focuses on interactive advertising.

    Is that wrong?

Not by definition, but after receiving some complaints about the Mindspark toolbars I decided to do some testing. One thing we can say up front is that their only goal seems to be visibility. To the extreme of leaving nothing else to see.

There are PUPs and there are toolbars, but Mindspark aka MyWebSearch aka Ask makes plenty of both. Estimates by people who “collect” these, there must be well over a hundred different toolbars powered by Mindspark. Although they are not so different if you look at a subset of them.
Here is your link and at the top it says in HIGHLIGHTS to get started ok?

    Am I mistaken?
