Ashampoo has long been a staunch supporter of DCT, and they have once again demonstrated this. This time around, they have graciously offered our readers a chance to win one of five licenses for their new UnInstaller 7 program. At the time of writing, each license is valued at $39.99 (US), but you can shave $20 off that price by visiting this UnInstaller 7 product page. I don’t know how long this deal will last.

Ashampoo UnInstaller 7 makes it easy to install, test and uninstall applications. Unwanted software, browser extensions and toolbars are gone from your hard disk in just a few clicks! Never before has installation monitoring for leftover-free uninstallations been so extensive and easy to use. Even legacy applications installed prior to UnInstaller can be completely removed thanks to in-depth cleaning! Finally, the innovative super-fast snapshot feature helps you track all system modifications with ease and clarity.

Ease Of Use

As with all Ashampoo products, installation is simple and straightforward. Download it and install it. There are no hidden “gotchas” to worry about.

Note: You may have to create an Ashampoo account to activate their software, but you don’t have to opt-in to receiving newsletters or any other eMail.

When Ashampoo announced this new UnInstaller version, I got pretty excited. I’ve been using version 6 for some time now and was really looking forward to any changes and improvements to this program. The interface was not ignored and there have been upgrades that make it more pleasant to use both visually and intuitively.

As you can see, you get pertinent information right from the start. Recent installations are shown first, but you can see all the software installed on your computer by choosing Applications in the left panel. You can also choose to only see a display of Windows-specific Apps, or even browser plug-ins, which I think is very nice additional feature.

The installation monitor can be left running in the background if you like, or you can enable it manually to only monitor software installations on an as-needed basis. Either way, UnInstaller 7 will monitor a program’s installation by recording all the changes that are being made to your file system and Windows Registry. This makes for a nice, complete clean-up should you decide to remove that program later.

When uninstalled, most, if not all programs, leave a lot of detritus in their wake. UnInstaller 7 eliminates this problem by ridding your computer of left-over cruft that misbehaved programs normally leave behind.

Over and above what you would expect from an uninstaller program, UnInstaller 7 provides a number of useful tools to help keep your system running smoothly.

It is well beyond the scope of this overview to delve into all the tools and features that UnInstaller 7 offers, but the above image should give you an inkling of its versatility.

The new Uninstaller 7 lives up to Ashampoo’s high bar, giving its users a quality program at a reasonable price point. I highly recommend this software for its ease of use, intuitive interface, and doing what it’s supposed to do right out of the box.

  1. My first thought was that Apps or Programs and Features was all I need to uninstall, but this app has some nice features. I especially like the test and uninstall applications function. I’m always trying something new, and having the ability of removing everything an app installs appeals to me. Thanks for the opportunity, Richard.

  2. I like ashampoo makers of very good software i hope i win a copy of this ashampoo uninstaller 7 thank you very much & good luck to all who enter & win this very good software from ashampoo

  3. Thanks for the opportunity to win a good uninstaller. I need one for newest addition to my desktop family.

  4. Downloaded something from Ashampoo following recommendation here a few months ago, and after some testing decided it was not for me, so uninstalled it. Now, despite hitting their “Unsubscribe” button on multiple emails, I continue to get an almost daily stream of emails from them. I’m afraid if they can’t action an Unsubscribe request, there is no way I would take another piece of their software even if it was the “best in the world”!.

    1. Hi John,

My Ashampoo contacts said they would remove the address you provided me from their mailing lists.

      I hope this helps,
