There really are so many different things we can do with Excel that lots and lots of people have no idea they can do! Not only that, they save you considerable time, and as everyone knows, I just love saving time! I mean, who wouldn’t want to save time, right?
So back to the subject at hand. Double-clicking sometimes will reveal shortcuts, some of which I will introduce to you below.
Follow the steps below to learn how:
To save time, skip your OK button. Unless you are clicking a check box, double-clicking on your choice in any dialog box selects that option and clicks OK simultaneously.
How To Maximize File Windows
Double-click on your title bar on Excel’s Open or Save As window, and you will see more files and folders. Double-click the title bar to maximize the window size. You can also double-click the title bar again to restore your default window size. Or, you could double-click on Excel’s title bar or your worksheet window also.
If you want to adjust your column widths, simply double-click the right edge of any of your columns on your worksheet frame to automatically resize that column to fit the width of the biggest cell entry. Another way is to select two or more columns and double-click the right edge of a column to resize multiple columns all at once!
