One (1) Brand new Asus T100 Chi 10.1″ 2-in-1 Transformer Book to be given away to one lucky DCT reader.

asus-t100-chi-2-in-1-transformer-book3

The Asus T100 Chi is a 2-in-1, which means exactly what it says – it’s a Windows laptop with a keyboard that detaches, turning it into a Windows tablet. Two devices in one beautiful package. It’s a simple idea that’s elegant and convenient. Need to work? It’s a powerful laptop. Time to relax? Detach the keyboard and it’s a handy tablet.

Transformer Book T100 Chi is razor-thin and feather-light, with a tablet that’s just 0.3-inch thin and weighs a mere 1.3 lbs. Even with the keyboard attached, it’s still a slender 0.5-inch and weighs just 2.4 lbs., so you’ll never have an excuse to leave your T100 Chi at home. Working or playing on-the-go has never been so easy. Packing a full 10 hours of working time into its battery means you won’t need to be constantly on the look-out for power sockets.

asus-t100-chi-transformerI’ve set up two of these machines for two of my grandsons and was pleasantly surprised at just how responsive they are, more responsive than many of the Celeron and Pentium laptops I’ve worked with. Of course, the Asus T100 Chi is not meant for intensive tasks and heavy gaming but it will easily handle your everyday computing needs – Microsoft Office, watching videos, basic games, emailing, surfing the net, playing music, etc.

The beauty of these machines is their small size, light weight, durability, and amazing battery life, making for extreme portability – ideal for students or taking on your travels. Throw in the versatility of a tablet/laptop combo with touchscreen and FHD display and you have one brilliant little machine. I was so impressed with the two I set up for my grandchildren, if I didn’t already own a similar Lenovo Miix, I would have had no problem purchasing one of these for myself.

  1. Since I already own an Asus laptop that I have found to be an excellent tool, it would be fantastic to also have an Asus 2in1 Transformer.
One imagines they should be able to talk to each other…well that would be my hope anyway 😉 !
Being of the older set, I am finding the big wide screen laptop a bit heavy to carry around so the little transformer would fit the bill just right for portability in an old lady’s handbag 🙂

  2. My greatgrandson has just reached the age to be introduced to a pc. This would make a super Christmas present

  3. Now we’re talking! I’ve had tablet envy for quite some time now, but I’ve resisted because I’ve wanted to have tablet functionality in something with an actual keyboard that is light and small, but that has battery life that lasts a day. This ASUS has pretty much all the features I would specify. Thaks for the chance to get one for free!

  4. It will be a dandy Christmas gift for someone. I wish us all good luck, and many thanks for the offer and opportunity.

  5. I have enjoyed the reliability of my 4 year old Asus laptop and would appreciate winning a newer Asus to compliment it. This one would be for my wife. Merry Christmas!

  6. Hope you get lots of new followers even if I am not the winner. This is a great site. Thanks for all the info and help.

  7. I would like to win so I can go online while sitting in my favorite reading spot. I love to read e-books, but my back screams at me if I’m reading sitting at my PC. This would take the place of my “old school” PC. 🙂

  8. I like how lite it is being disabled I have a hard time picking things up. The laptop I have now runs very hot so I’m not able to use it long and being on a fixed income I just can’t afford one right now. Thanks so much for this amazing gift giveaway. Good luck to all tans happy holidays

  9. I’ve been wishing to afford a 2 in 1 laptop for some time. Watch on demand stuff on my tablet but it’s very old and lacks what I need. Sadly with a wedding to save up for I cannot afford to buy one

  10. We just got new DirecTV Genie, which allows you to watch live TV on a tablet on same wifi. This would be a great gift for my wife who would like to watch the football game while whipping up some snacks for half time.

  11. It would be an honor to win this Asus!! I absolutely love and appreciate Dave’s Computer Tips as well as this opportunity!! Thank you!

  12. Thanks would love to win this to replace my old heavy laptop. Only thing missing from it imo is a full size usb port.

  13. Thanks for the opportunity. I’m currently using a Samsung Galaxy Tab which I borrowed from my brother. I will miss it dearly when I return it. These devices are perfect for late night reading and quick internet browsing.

  14. Being 68 doesn’t prevent me from continuing to learn about IT and reading DCT helps me to keep up to date. And I’d love an Asus Transformer!
