A guy brought me his new laptop to set up for him. Then he came back because when he signed in to his Facebook account, it was behaving like he had just set up a new account even though he’d had one for years. No posts, no friends.
I don’t know why but I automatically assumed he somehow signed in wrong. And it turns out he did. In his email address, he forgot to press shift for the commercial at (@) sign and had the number 2 there instead.
example2hotmail.com instead of example@hotmail.com
I’m surprised he got in at all. Facebook must have thought he was trying to create a new account. Anyway, after fixing his username, everything was back to normal.
I know a woman who put in a comma instead of a period before the com. So, double-check your typing. If you can’t sign in, type it out, and don’t rely on auto-fill.

Is there a way to “reset” facebook so that old friends that I havn’t heard from recently will begin showing up again?
Sorry, not that I’m aware of right now.
No where to let Facebook know that Chrome switched my account to windows10. Was windows 7. Updated the password and now blocked. What to do?
Facebook Security email is NO reply Therefore no contact.
Log in blocked.
Only allowing a photo ID as a fix. NOt going to happen.
Am I out like Fox?
Or is there another fix you know of?
Sorry, I don’t know of any other way beyond that.
