Is My Mac Still Covered under AppleCare?

If you are having an issue with your Mac, you need to know if your AppleCare coverage is still in effect.

Due to a battery issue, I will be taking my MacBook Pro to the Genius Bar. I needed to find out if my AppleCare coverage is still in effect.

AppleCare is a product offered by Apple to extend your warranty coverage. AppleCare for a Mac or Apple display extends coverage to three years from the purchase date. AppleCare for an iPad, iPhone, iPod, or Apple TV extends coverage to two years from the purchase date.

To find out if your Mac is covered by AppleCare, click on ‘About This Mac’ under the Apple menu.

In the ‘About This Mac’ window, click on ‘More Info…’.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next, click on ‘Check my service and support coverage status’.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Your service and support coverage information will be displayed. If you are still covered by AppleCare, ‘Covered by the AppleCare Protection Plan’ will have a green checkmark beside it.
