A couple of years ago I wrote an article on how to turn off those annoying Facebook app sounds. You know the ones where every time you tap LIKE you get a sound. I find it annoying when you are looking at Facebook at night and your phone decides to make noises when you react to a post. Trying to be quiet for the kids who are sleeping is good parenting, and it will save your sanity if they don’t wake up again. It has been long enough since Facebook has updated the location/look of the feature, so I wanted to give you the new steps. In this article, I will show you the process of turning these noises off. Before we start this lesson, make sure to check out some of my other articles on this subject:

Now it is time to pull out those devices and learn something new.
How To Turn Off Facebook App Sounds Update
This will be shown using my Motorola Edge phone using the Facebook app. These steps are very close to the original but it is always good to refresh those skills.
Step 1: Find your Facebook app on your device and tap it
Step 2: Once on the home screen tap the three horizontal lines at the top right.
Step 3: Under the menu screen, scroll down until you see Settings and Privacy. Tap it.
Step 4: Now tap on the Settings option.
Step 5: On this screen look under the section Preferences. Find the Media option from the list below. Tap it.
Step 6: On the Media Screen settings, scroll down and look under the Video and Photo Settings. You should find the Sounds in the app option. Look to the right of that and tap the switch. This will turn it off. Done…
This will stop your Facebook app from making those annoying noises when reacting to those posts. Time to share your new knowledge with your friends and family.
