This week we are sticking with this subject and are going to teach you more. With any smart TV we know that it uses our internet to connect to all the apps. That can use up your bandwidth which causes slowing on your other devices that are connected too. If I told you that your Roku device actually has a feature that will help save bandwidth would you believe me? Well, you should since I’m writing this article. Yes, they have a feature that I will show you to save that precious internet speed. Before we get into this, make sure to check out some of the other articles I have written:

How To Save Bandwidth On Roku

I will be using my TCL Roku TV to show how this is done.

Step 1: Turn on your Roku Device and look to the left menu.

Step 2: On this menu look for the Settings option and select it. Now push the OK button on your remote.

Step 3: You will now need to find the Network option on the next menu. Select it and push OK.

Step 4:  The Network menu will appear and you will want to find the Bandwidth saver option. Select it.

Step 5: To the right you will be offered an On or Off Option.

If you haven’t used the remote in 4 hours, a message will display asking you if you’re still watching. If there is no response the channel will stop streaming and save your network bandwidth.

That is what it will do for you if you turn this option on, which will save you some bandwidth. Done!

You now know how to save some bandwidth on your Roku device. This is a great feature if you have kids always leaving streaming channels running even when they are not watching it. Plus, it helps us adults with the same issue. Time to share your new knowledge with the world.
