How To Customize Apps On Your iPhone

Well, it’s the old fuddy-duddy back again. I have just been so busy trying to find ways to make my iPhone do what I want it to do. Granted, I may have an old-fashioned way of doing things, but hey, I bought the phone, and to my way of thinking, it should do what I want it to do. Right? So I cannot imagine (hope not) that I am the only fuddy-duddy out there who wants to know how to conquer their phone. So here I am again, and hopefully you will find this information helpful.  If not, just sing out, and I will try to help you!

So if you want to customize and make it so your iPhone’s apps and pages are reordered to your liking, touch and hold on an empty area of your Home Screen until apps jiggle. Then, drag apps to a new position of your choice or create folders by dropping one app onto another. If you would like to reorder pages, simply tap the dots at the bottom of your screen to see all pages and then touch and hold a page to drag it to a new order. You can also customize the look of your apps and widgets, change your icon colors, size, and display of app names!

Follow the steps to learn how:

  • To reorder apps and pages, you will enter edit mode, touch and hold a space on your screen until the app icons begin to jiggle.
  • Now drag individual apps to a new position on the same or different page.
  • To create folders, simply drag one app onto another to create a new folder. Then you can drag additional apps into that folder.
  • To reorder your pages, tap the dots at the bottom of your screen so that you view all your home screens. Now touch and hold a page to drag it to a new position. When you are finished, simply tap Done at the top right corner.
  • To customize your Home Screen, enter edit mode and touch and hold an empty area on your Home Screen until the apps start to jiggle.
  • Tap Edit.
  • In the top left-hand corner, tap Edit.

  1. Thanks, Fuddy-Duddy. When icons on my screen started jiggling, I thought something was wrong. Now I know what to do and how to move them around to suit myself.
