How To Clean Up Photos On Your iPhone

Yep, you read that correctly! You actually can correct your pictures! How cool is that, right? I just love finding out new things that I can do with my iPhone. As I have stated previously, I am an old fuddy-duddy, and it takes me quite a while to figure out these things.  But hey, at least I try, right?  And now I will pass this information on to you! Trust me, it really is easy.

Follow the steps below to learn how:

  • Open the photo that you would like to change, and at the bottom, tap Edit.
  • Now tap the Cleanup icon.
  • The tool could automatically highlight some objects to be removed, but you can then tap them or use your finger to brush or circle other unwanted elements.
  • Just pinch or zoom to be precise.
  • Once you are finished, simply tap Done to save your changes.

Caveat: I had to download the Cleanup tool before I did anything else, and you may have to as well.

Before you begin, be sure your phone/laptop meets the requirements below:

iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or later (which includes the iPhone 16 series).
