In 1977, the first TRS-80 Model I computer was sold.

Much to Tandy’s surprise, the TRS-80 sold 10,000 units in the first month alone. The TRS-80 Model 1 had no numeric keypad and Level I BASIC with 4K RAM.

In 1979
, NASA’s space probe Pioneer 11 became the first spacecraft to visit Saturn.

Pioneer 11 passed within 13,049 miles (21,000 km) of Saturn. The planet’s Ring F was discovered based on data sent by the probe.
