How can I change the default size of a new window (opening email, etc) to a larger size? Currently I get a miniscule 600X??? on my new 24" monitor

Hey Terry - Try dragging each border of the window until they meet the corresponding edges of the screen. Then close out using[b:2stnyomk] File>Close[/b:2stnyomk] rather than the X (in the red box) and it should now always open maximized to the screen dimensions.

Unfortunately, my email doesn't give me that option.

Okay, I have zero experience with AOL, we don't use that service here, so I am having problems with the concept...sorry! I am assuming Firefox initially opens full screen and the problem occurs when you log-on to AOL to access emails... does that page then open in a new tab or new window?

Were you aware that you can access AOL mail via Windows Mail? If you are interested, [url=http://email.about.com/od/windowsmailtips/qt/et_access_aol.htm:pji10dld]here are the instructions.[/url:pji10dld]

When I open an individual email it opens in a very small window.
Is there any way to forward my AOL addy and the thousands of contacts?
Thanks

Aha!! Got to be something to do with the internal AOL settings then.

Do you mean import them into Windows Mail? The AOL account would remain active and exactly the same, you will still be using the AOL addy, it's just that you would be viewing the AOL emails in Windows Mail instead. You can export the contacts from AOL to a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file, save the file somewhere and then use that file to 'Import' into Windows Mail.
