Where would I look on my pc to discover what name the OS was registered & activated in?
I hunted through a few things in the control panel plus searched in Help & came to an activation window & clicked it & got a message saying my Windows was successfully activated.
So the machine remembers but I don't! lol Wink
Now I need the exact name & initials.

Solved the problem. Found a freeware Belarc http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

It gave me heaps of info about licences on my pc.
I also fixed the Windows Office problem by installing Office 2003 that I had laying around. It could be used on 3pc & I only used it on 1. So I installed that to get around the Windows Starter trouble.
