Would like to remove devices from appearing in Safely Remove Hardware And Eject Media listing without actually removing the device. Have a Digital Analog Computer (DAC) which is connected to USB port of PC running Win7Pro.
I have inadvertantly removed the hardware a couple of times now and had to reinstall.
Listing is fine in my case for thumbdrives, external HDDs, etc. but the DAC would certainly (almost) never be removed.
Most of the articles I have read on the subject are dealing with memory devices of some sort and talk about modding BIOS. I don't mind getting under the hood but into the engine is a bit out of my toolbox!
Thanks in advance.
