This evening I tried to boot up my Laptop PC and this message came out after entering incorrect PIN a number of times:

"you've entered incorrect pin several times - to try again enter a1b2c3"

Since I do not remember my PIN how do I reset it?

Thanks for any support you can provide and have a good day - be safe!

Hey AJ,

Here's a link to a Microsoft article that explains how to reset a PIN: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/reset-your-pin-when-you-aren-t-signed-in-to-windows-a386c519-3ab2-b873-1e9b-bb228a98b904

Are you signing in to a Microsoft Account or Local Account?

Jim, while I have your attention - recently I have been provided updates from my Desktop to move to WIN 11. Can you please tell me your recommendation on updating from WIN 10 or not?

Thanks again for your support!

Have a good day my friend and be safe!

Windows 10 reaches end-of-support in October 2025. So, you're going to need to upgrade to Windows 11 by then.

You're going to have to upgrade sooner or later mate. If it was me, I'd probably upgrade to Windows 11 right now.

Cheers... Jim

Jim, I did not know that support was ending for WIN 10 in October 2025. Thanks for the info!

Have a good day my friend and be safe!
