Daniel, it would be handy to know what you've already tried.
Have you looked under Device Manager, are there any yellow exclamation marks?
Have you checked the manufacturer's site for the latest driver?
Okay, a little research reveals that this is a common issue:

I downloaded the uptodate software and driver from logitech. Device manager is showing OK. The only time I got it to working was when I unplugged the USB cord and plugged it back in to a USB port, but it only worked with the software until I rebooted. The device works fine with Skype. I have been searching Goolge for a fix but all I am getting is from users whao have had to uninstall Quick Time, I do not have Quick Time on my PC. I will run the sfc /scannow tomorrow.

You are right about one thing about this being a compatibility issue. It seems like anything running the W10 Anniversary update will not run the lws software that comes with the camcorder device, and the issue can not be fixed by setting compatibility mode.
I do know the software will run on XP, Vista and the previous version of W10. The device is working but the software is uncompatibile,I do believe Logitech is in need of updating their software.
I rarely used the software but I still would install the software with the device.

What do you use the software for? Most other software (i.e., Skype, etc) will access the device directly and don't use the software.
It works fine with Skype. I might just want to make an X rated video or just take a profile picture and post or whatever else I can think of on a rainy day like today. LOL.
