I am using Office 2010 under Windows 7 on a Dell Precision T3500 workstation with all printers and plotters networked.
I have attempted to use some of the Microsoft PowerPoint templates. They open in PowerPoint with no problem, but when I attempt to save them, PowerPoint crashes. IT reinstalled Office 2010 last week due to another issue.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Ray,
A few questions to get us started --
Are you saving to a network drive or a local drive?
Can you save a normal PPT file without starting with a template?
What file extension are you saving as?
Are you getting an error message when it crashes?
What does event viewer show for the crash (Start-->Control Panel-->Administrative Tools-->Event Viewer)

Hi Ray,
Not sure I have a solution for you, but here goes:
PowerPoint is picky about a couple of things. One is printer drivers. It likes what it likes, and it likes 'em local. In other words, you'll want to try installing a known good printer driver locally (not as a network printer) and making sure it's set as the default printer. Next is add-ins. If you go to File | Options | Add-ins, what is listed? If you see especially a Send to Bluetooth (or some such) add-in, disable that and see if the problem doesn't resolve. If you don't see that, what do you see?
(To tell the truth, that's actually more of an issue with PPT 2007 than 2010, but it's still a good thing to do. )
