Hi guys, I was not sure where to post this.

I have downloaded a rar file in three parts. It is a PC game.
Would someone please explain to me in the simplest terms how I open the rar files and join the three parts together so the game is playable. I have no clue.

I tried watching a "how to" video on Youtube but all it did was confuse me more than I already am.

Thank you.

WinZip may extract the files.

Hey Myles,

First thing you need is a software to extract the RAR archives, here are three of the best - all free:

http://www.7-zip.org/
http://www.peazip.org/
https://www.bandisoft.com/bandizip/

When you install one of the archive tools mentioned above it will add an option into the right click context menu.

I assume the three parts you downloaded are numbered sequentially, as in Part1, Part2, Part3 or 001,002,003, or similar?

Make sure all 3 parts are contained within a single folder. Right click on the first file in the sequence (Part1, 001, or whatever) and select Extract or Extract Here. The program should automatically continue extracting and adding the rest of the files into one large file.
