Google have started a new service to rival Facebook and other social sites. It's called Google Plus (Google+) and promises to be very social, very bold and go where no man has ever gone before......well not quite that last bit but you know what I mean.

Google has obviously been sitting up and taking notice of Facebook's flourishing universal popularity; Google+ offers all the usual social sharing options PLUS a couple of really useful and unique extra features.

"Circles" - Provides a means for users to separate contacts into various categories, so certain personal information and photos can be selectively shared with particular groups only.

"Hangout" - Provides a video chat service which can be utilised by up to ten participants at a time.
