my Hotmail account was hacked early last year. Everyone in my email account received bogus emails supposedly from me. I only noticed it happened when I received return mail about some old addresses not active. I ran virus scans and found and deleted three viruses, reset my password and thought I was ok.

Unfortunately it happened again last November. I again changed my password, deleted my contact list rebuilt windows 7 on my main desktop and low and behold it struck again January. Contacts no longer in my email still received bogus email. Its driving me crazy!
.. How did it send to my deleted contact list?

I am now going to cancel my hacked email Hotmail address and establish a new outlook one.
I have more questions if anyone can help about this;
..When its cancelled can the hacker/virus reinstate my account under its control?
..Can I back up some of the folders of email I've been holding to my hard drive?
..How do I transfer my calendar from the old account to the new?
