My current router is over eight years old and only has the 2.4Ghz, with a 300Mbps output. It works fine using the Ethernet connection, great speed test results, but I drop over 10 Mbps when removing the cable and switching to WiFi, even when a boaster is within a few feet of the computer. I do plan to make more usage of WiFi devices, so maybe a newer router is the answer, selecting the correct router is confusing at best, Mindblower!
