I have dozens of hard drive, floppy drive, and SCSI drive ribbon cables. Do people still want to buy them or should I dump them in the trash?

Don't dump them in the trash-- we've already got enough problems.
Find a place that will recycle those things. Best Buy recycles some of that stuff for free. Look around for a better solution, please.

Worst Buy limits three items per household per day. I've got lots of stuff - printer cables, video cables, serial cables, parallel cables, network cables, switch boxes, hard drives, floppy drives etc. OK, I'll find a real recycling company unless someone can use any of it here in LA.
