It does not have be a holiday time (season) for merchants to launch a ONE DAY SPECIAL. Unless I was thinking about something, done some research, weighed the pros and cons, begin presented with such an offer (out of the blue), is childish advertising (and we're all children, I know).
Very often is price does not even factor in (poor English - I know). This ploy to lure you away from thinking is an old practise. Fast talking sales people do it daily (telemarketers for example). Ever watch an infomercial (commercial that uses an audience of actors to sell a product, so you think you're not alone). Before you can react as to how you lived without such a product, you're told it's new, just came out. If you believe that pitch, you're on the phone with credit card in hand.
I'm not saying all products sold are or fall into this category, but since this is the holiday season, do exercise that tiny brain for a second or two before acting on impulse. This special will be back again, and might even get reduced due to over sales. Happy holidays, Mindblower!
