Whoopi Goldberg Unhappy That Diablo IV Isn’t On Mac

Up until now, Blizzard Entertainment has released the Diablo series of games on Mac but on this occasion, the new Diablo IV – a dungeon crawler action role-playing game – has not been ported over, which has frustrated the famous actress. She apparently games on an Apple Mac, a platform not known as a gaming platform if we’re honest.

“This is what I’m asking you, Blizzard Entertainment,” Goldberg said, “This is Whoopi. You know how much I love Diablo. I would like y’all to let those of us who use our [Macs] to play. Allow us to play on the Apple. Take Diablo IV and let us do it and have a great time.”

Apparently, part of the reason for this is that Apple is now using a different CPU and that would mean a complete game rewrite specifically for the Mac. There are two solutions for Ms Goldberg – Apple has recently released a Game Porting Toolkit that can be used as an emulator or I would suggest that she buys a Windows PC or laptop and enjoy even more games that are not even available on a Mac.

The minimum specs for the game are:

  • Operating system: 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8350
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 280
  • Storage: Solid-state drive with 90GB available space

Apple Macs are not gaming systems and although a software change from Mac to Windows would be a learning curve, it’s the route I would choose under the circumstances.

Apple Vision Pro – An Expensive Gimmick?

A few months ago, I tried out an Oculus Rift VR headset at a friend’s house and played a few minutes of Half-Life Alyx. It was a weird experience, yet totally immersive – almost like an out-of-body experience if I’m honest. However, after ten minutes the headset became so painfully uncomfortable, mainly across my forehead, that I couldn’t wait to rip it off. But Apple’s new AR device is said to be much more than simply an AR (Augmented Reality) headset and is packed with some ground-breaking technology. This of course is typical Apple – introducing products that we didn’t think we needed but ending up as game-changers. Personally, I’m not yet convinced about AR/VR, and at $3500, the Apple Vision Pro which is to launch in 2024, aims to take the technology one step further. When you consider that a new iPhone 14 Pro sells for around $1500, it wouldn’t be out of the question for some consumers to pay this amount of money. On the other hand, I could build a very fast gaming machine for $3500 if I had the cash, which I don’t.

How To Enable Seconds On Your Windows 11 Clock

I’m not sure why showing seconds in the Taskbar would be useful and why that feature would use more energy, but this tweak is easy to do. Simply right-click on the taskbar>taskbar settings>taskbar behaviours>show seconds in System Tray Clock.

This critical feature is available since the Moment 3 Update for Windows 11 and it’s optional. If you head for Windows Update using Win+I, check for updates and you may find it in Optional as KB5026446.

  1. Hi Marc. Thanks for the tip of adding seconds to the System Clock. It can be useful when you wish to time something without using a stop watch (often for a very short time), Mindblower!
