How To View Your Daily Workouts On Your Apple Watch

I don’t know about you, but I really do try to keep myself in shape. Not gonna say I like it, but I do it nonetheless! If there is nothing else I have learned while on this earth, it is that if you do NOT try to keep yourself in decent shape, you will most definitely not BE in decent shape, and it is a lot harder to get back where you want to be when you slack off. But I digress.

I try to start each day with a morning workout, and that means that I get up, get dressed, and walk out that door before coffee, the paper, etc. So it follows that I am not always bright and hitting all the buttons as I should be. My memory is not all that good anymore, and I need help remembering what days I missed, how many steps I take, etc. I’m getting to the information now. So many times at the end of the week, I wish that I had written down what I had accomplished earlier in the week. So one day I said to my daughter, ” Gee, I think I’m going to start keeping a record of my walks”. I can tell you that you cannot imagine the look I got from her! MOM, she said, you have that nice watch, and you should use it. It will keep track of all that information for you! So, of course, I said how? She said, “That is your work for today, figure it out!” Gotta love your offspring, right?

But I did want to learn, and so I went and I figured it out. I know she loves me and wants me to be independent as long as possible!

Follow the steps below, and you too can track your weekly mileage!

To view your workout history on your Apple Watch, simply open the Fitness app (that would be the three rings).

Now scroll down to the bottom, and tap the specific workouts to see your details.

If you want more detail, including maps, splits, and heart rate data, open the Fitness app on your iPhone and select the Summary tab.
Now the nitty gritty: How you can View your  Workouts:

  • On your Watch: Open the Fitness app and scroll down
  • Tap on one of your past workouts to see the summary, including time, heart rate, and calories
  • On your iPhone: Open the Fitness app and look under the Summary tab
  • You can scroll through your sessions to see, even a walk from a year ago

Pretty cool, huh? There will be more to come!
