Now that you are caught up on those, it’s time to show you a new one. Today, I would like to show you how to update the shipping address on your eBay account. This is important if you have moved recently or want the package shipped to a different address, like your office. I know many people who prefer to have the address on their purchase as a PO Box rather than their home’s. Either way, it is always good to know how to update or even add a new shipping address to your account. Let’s get this lesson started.
How To Update eBay Shipping Address
Step 1: Head over to ebay.com and sign in to your account. On the home screen, look to the top left and click on Sign in. Then fill out the sign-in fields and click the Sign In button.
Step 2: Once in your account, look to the top left and hover your mouse over the down arrow next to your name. From this menu, click on Account Settings.
Step 2.1: Another way to get to the account settings screen is to head up to the top right of the screen. Hover or click on the down-arrow next to the My eBay option. In this menu, find the Summary option. Click it.
Step 3: Once on the Summary Screen, you will look at the top under My eBay. Now click on the Account Tab and you will be on the Account Settings screen. A little longer route but it is important to know other ways to get to places. On this screen, look under the Personal Info section on the left. Find the Addresses link and click it.
Step 4: Here is the section where we can edit our addresses on our eBay account. They give you many ways to edit your addresses:
- Registration address, email, and phone number (Your main contact address. It’s important to keep it up to date and accurate.)
- Shipping Address (Your main shipping address for purchases. This is where you’d like to receive items you purchase.)
- Ship from address (your main address where you ship packages from)
- Return address (your main return addresses where buyers can return their items)
- Payment and pick up address (pick-up address for offline payment methods like cash on pick-up or personal cheques)
For this article, we will use Shipping Address as our example on how to edit. Click on the Edit button to the right of Shipping Address.
Step 5: Here you will see the Shipping addresses you have already saved to your account. To edit one of the addresses, locate the Edit button to the right. Click it.
Step 6: Once in the edit address screen, fill out the appropriate fields. After you have completed that, click on the Save button at the bottom right. You are now done updating your address.
It’s time to show you how to add a new address. You should be back on the Shipping Addresses screen (Step 5). If you are not, click the edit button to the right of the shipping address like you did in Step 4. Once back on the Shipping Addresses screen, look to the bottom right. You should see the Add another address link (the image above shows this). Click that.
Step 7: You will be now on the Add Address screen. Here you will add all the important information (Address) and once done, look down to the left. You should see the Save as primary address box. If you want to make this new address the primary one, then click the box. Now all you have to do is click the Save button. DONE.
We all know how to add and update those shipping addresses on our eBay account now. Time to start buying some of those cool collectibles you have been eyeing.
