In the last article, we covered was on how to install some more storage on your PS5. This week we will continue our PS5 lessons. You might be asking what are we going to learn this time. Now to let you in on what this class will be about. I spent some time thinking about it and I want to go over how you can free up space on that hard drive. If you are not able to expand the storage capacity, then you need to know how to delete those big games to give you more space for the new ones. Time to get those consoles turned on and start this class.
How To Delete Games On PS5
This will be shown on my PS5 console.
Step 1: Sign in to your PS5, go to the top of the screen, and select Settings (Gear Icon) on the right.
Step 2: Once under Settings, look for the Storage option. Select it.
Step 3: On the Storage screen, you should be on the first option on the left menu, Console Storage. Make sure that is the one you are on. Now look to the middle of the screen and select Games and Apps.
Step 4: Now we are on the Games and Apps in Console Storage screen. Here is where your games and apps are stored on this drive. Look to the right of each one and you will see the amount of space they take up. Select any one of these to get the menu we need. A menu will appear with some options:
- Select Items to Delete
- Select Items to Move
- View Game Content
We will need to select the top option, “Select Items to Delete” for this article.
Step 5: Time to select the ones you want to delete from your storage. After selecting, you will need to look to the far right.
Step 6: Here is the view of how much storage the drive has and how much you will get after deleting the ones you selected. If you are happy with your choices, select the Delete button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 7: I chose only one to delete and it is now making sure I want to remove it. Select the OK button. Done…
That is how you can delete some of those apps and games from your storage. It looks like it is time to clean up your drive.
