How To Check Your TikTok Account Status

This week I wanted to change the subject over to TikTok (while it is still around). As you may know, many social platforms have guidelines that you must follow. If you do something against them, then you might get shadow banned or even lose your account. That being said, I wondered if I can see what my account status is. Your account status tells you if you have any violations against your videos or comments. I did some research and found where you can see this status. Before I start our lesson on TikTok, make sure to check out some of these other articles I have written for you:

Now that that is out of the way, it is time for class. Pull out your devices and open those notebooks.

How To Check Your TikTok Account Status

I will be showing how to do this on my Motorola Edge Android phone using the TikTok app. The first way I will show you is for those of us who submit videos to the TikTok app. Afterwards, I will show you another way to find your account status.

Option 1

Step 1: Find the app on your device and tap it.

Step 2: Once on the Home Screen look to the bottom right. You will see your Profile link. Tap it.

Step 3: You will end up on your Profile screen. If you have videos up, then you should see the TikTok Studio link in the middle. Tap it. You can also find the link under the Menu (3 horizontal lines). Click the Menu at the top right and then you will see the link.

Step 4: Now we are on the TikTok Studio screen. Look for the section that says More Tools. Under that you will see Account Check link. Tap it.

Step 5: The Account Check screen will appear and start scanning your account. It is looking at a few sections:

Login
Posts (videos you have shared)
Comments
Profile
Direct messages

Once it is done scanning you will get the information about your account status.

Step 6: As you can see, my account is in Good Standing. If I had an issue, it would appear on this screen with what the issue was. Done!

Now we are going to show you another way to check this.

Option 2

Step 1: Head back to your Profile screen and look to the top right. Tap the Menu link (3 horizontal lines). A Menu will appear at the bottom of your screen. Tap on Settings and privacy.

Step 2: On the next screen look for the section called Support & About. Here you will see a link for Support. Tap it.

Step 3: Next you are given 3 choices:

Help Center
Safety Center
Privacy Center

Tap on the Safety Center.

Step 4: We are now on the Safety Center screen. Right under the section called Safety Tools there is one option called Account Status. Tap it.

Step 5: If you have any issues, it would show up here:

Current violations
Restored

These are the two options you can look at on this screen. If you want to read the Community Guidelines, they give you a link on this screen. DONE!

Now you know two different ways to check on the status of your account. Now it is time to share your knowledge with your friends and family.
