Geek Fact for February 12th

In 1998, Intel unveiled its first graphics chip, the Intel i740.

Many industry analysts predicted that the i740 would be a fixture in the PC graphics world. Competitors, however, quickly released chips that outperformed the i740. Intel had to sell the chip at fairly low prices to dealers in Asia and the i740 was eventually canceled.

    Well all that can be said is that Intel probably do better processors mind you do get the Occasional laptop working on Intel drivers Looks like nvidia and Amd got the market on these.
