I am thinking about deleting most of the preinstalled music and video on my MC pc mainly for space reasons.
My question: Is this a common practice that most people have already done, whether for space reasons or whatever? And do people actually ever listen to the preinstalled music that came with xp MC edition?
I myself listen to the jazz (Deardorf Peterson Group) and that's about it. The rest is basically just dead space on my hd.

Hey Bullitt - I can only speak for myself...one of the first things I do after installing any new Windows operating system is go through the folders and delete any and all samples; music, pictures, video, et all. I know, even in total, it all uses very little HDD space, but I'm with you mate, why have it on there if it is of no use to you.

Is it common practice?? Well, it is in my house!!

Do I ever listen to the pre-installed sample music?? I did once, many moons ago, that was enough to convince me it just had to go!!

cheers now....JIM

I delete them also. Messes up my organization (like I have any organizational skill to begin with ) of my own music, photos, and video.

Thanks guys for the responses.
Probably should have deleted most of that preinstalled media two years ago when I first got my pc. Thanks again.

I leave it there, transfer it from machine to machine, and 4 machines later realize I have 6 copies of the same sample media that I never actually use.

But I don't delete it, just in case.

And this is why I don't offer advice on orginizational things.
