Hey Maurylen - Happy new year!
Which backups are you trying to restore; the backups automatically created by Firefox or backups you have created and saved yourself?
firefox.exe -p will not work properly if Firefox is running. Make sure there are no instances of Firefox running and then try again - does it work okay now?
Get back to me with the answers and we'll take it from there.
Cheers...Jim

Morning Jim,
well that was easy! shut ALL firefox down, got to Profile Manager and deleted back to the one created last time we connected - the backups were of bookmarks which are now reinstated, many thanks - looked up the FF help pages and seems things like bookmarks sometimes just disappear??? - kinda weird, no worries seems that profile manager is the answer - till next time, thanks Maurylen
Good morning to you too Maurylen.
Glad to hear you sorted it out - good one!!
Yes, FF is prone to weird issues. Seems the rapid release program doesn't allow time for proper testing and we (the users) are the guinea pigs. I had an instance where all my add-on icons completely disappeared, creating a new profile solved that one too.
You're most wecome,
Cheers...Jim
