[quote="richard37066":behktvug] I DO understand, thanks to you, but I don't understand why MS can't get their act together and be "compliant" like the rest of them. [/quote:behktvug]
for a long time, Microsoft was the [i:behktvug]only[/i:behktvug] player, so they got to set the rules. The world moved on without Microsoft as far as standards are concerned and Microsoft just (in the last year or two) woke up to this fact. It's been a slow move for them, but they're getting there.
Chrome is a good browser and I like it a lot. There are a few sites that it doesn't work well with, but it turns out I don't run into that many troubles. For the one or two sites I do, I have firefox.
