Anyone out their trying to run a virtual machine with windows 8.1 with the VMware Player will probably encounter problems with this update which came in October. Since it is an optional update I uninstalled it and was able to open my virtual machines. Error message has to do with not enough host memory. Maybe VMware will give a patch soon. Daniel.
