Well, I did a really stupid thing....I have an older Dell Optiplex 780 running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit that was running a bit slow. Did the usual clean up and Malware scan but then did the stupid part......I saw a free driver updater / downloader call Driver Pack Driver Pax (?)

After letting it take over and do it's thing, my computer does not want to start up normally any more. It can take up to 4 attempts before it gets past the Windows Welcome screen.

I get a pop up screen that seems to indicate what the reason is but I do not understand it or understand what to do to fix the problem.

Any advice would be much appreciated. thank you. Images of pop up window attached.1.jpgImage Enlarger

Looks like W7 is booting into a temp profile. If you have a W7 disc you might boot it and try running repair. Do you have a W7 system image? If you can you can Google " how to fix temp profile" and follow the instruction, it will require some registry work. I have saved all important files and create a new admin user and boot into the new user and delete the temp profile. Be advised, you will have to rebuild W7. You might be able to restore W7, if you have a system restore partition.

This will explain temp profiles. Good luck.

You may be able to toggle the F8 at boot and enter safe mode and try and get rid of the offending program.

I will try that.

After all this trouble started, I ran a few Anti-Malware programs that found nothing. But then I ran the Malwarenbytes Adwcleaner and it found 2 Trojan files from the Driver Pack that I stupidly downloaded and used.
