btw i have not installed sp-1 as i read that if something goes wrong, one cannot fix the PC using W7 DVD. So how to fix the PC with SP1 using W7 DVD, or if there is an alternate?

Hi Grr, what they are referring to is the ability to do a repair install of Windows after applying the service pack. To do this you would need a slipstreamed version of Windows 7 with SP1...or a retail disc with SP1 on it.
here is a "how-to" for slipstreaming SP1 into your Win 7 ISO.
