Hi Marie,

Have you tried resetting your home page?

Open Internet Explorer and press the Alt key to bring up the menu bar (across the top). Then click on Tools and from the drop down menu click on Internet options.

It should open to the General tab by default. If not, click on the General tab and you should see "Home page" right at the top. Backspace the entry out and type in //www.google.com, click Apply and then OK. Restart the browser.

If you want to use a different home page, other than Google; open Internet Explorer and navigate to your preferred home page. Then follow the same steps as above but instead of typing in the web address, backspace the entry out and then click on the Use current button. If the unwanted entry pops back in and you now have two items listed, backspace the unwanted item out again. Click Apply then OK. Restart the browser.

Also, go to Start>Control Panel>Programs and Features and look down the list of installed programs for any reference to SafeSearch. If you see SafeSearch listed, uninstall it.

Let's start there and see how it goes. If you are still having problems, get back to us and we'll take you through some additional steps.

Cheers... Jim

If this is Google Safe Search try this link http://www.google.com/preferences.

It's not 'Google Safe Search' Daniel. If you perform a search for "safesear.ch" you'll see it's a notorious browser hijacker.
