Hey Guys - Looking for help with this one: I used to have Vista and Win7 installed on two separate internal hard drives in a dual boot system - used EasyBCD to setup the dual boot.

A couple of months ago I replaced Vista with an exact copy of my existing Win7 - created an image and then restored that image to the secondary drive. I had a bit of trouble setting up the dual system again with EasyBCD but finally got there - named one 'Windows 7' and the other 'Windows 7/2'. Both boot and operate no problem at all.

If I boot the machine from the original installation disc and invoke the Repair option OR booting direct from the Windows 7 repair disc, neither recognizes any Windows operating systems. I get a message that I'll need to "Load drivers" and then to "Insert the installation media for the device and click OK to select the driver". At no stage does it specify what device. If I continue on, a driver folder then opens in a browse window but it doesn't matter which one I select I get this message..."The specified location does not contain information about your hardware". So that's as far as I can get.

Why are these repair options not recognizing the OSs (or hard drives it would appear)? Could it be something to do EasyBCD and the way that software sets up the dual boot perhaps?
