Hi all
When I right click on my desktop and pick "personalize" I get a window that has various desktop themes. One of the choices in this window is to go to the Microsoft website to "Get more themes online". I have tried to download a few from there but they are put in various locations that I am not able to access. Does anyone know where the desktop backgrounds are supposed to be stored? One more thing... I am also using ADC (Active Desktop Calendar) which may be part of the problem. Thanks!
Hi bj - Apologies for the late reply.
When you download a theme do not choose "Save", choose the option to "Open" or "Open with" (which should be the default anyway). As soon as the download has completed, the new Theme should then activate automatically and be listed and accessible from within the Personalization settings.
Cheers... Jim
Somehow when I tried to download themes, I was saving them to some obscure place that I could not seem to access. "Open" wasn't an option I was given. I finally found out that I could save the themes to my desktop, click on them there, and they would automatically show up in the "Personalization" window. I get myself into these situations because I go where I shouldn't go and click on things I should leave alone. My daughter calls me "Happy Fingers". Thanks for trying to help.
