Hi guys -
I have, literally, been all over and have tried everything trying to get rid of the "Astromenda" malware that has been become imbedded in my Google Chrome web browser.
I have used malware bytes, ADWcleaner, webroot secure anywhere (my current anti-virus) and some other software to absolutely no avail of getting rid of this. I have tried registry deletion. ADWcleaner and malware bytes BOTH finds the file and asks me if I want to delete it. I do so every time. However, the very next scan it is still there. Nothing I do gets rid of it.
I have NO clue on how to completely get rid of this. It seems to only be in my chrome browser. I use Internet Explorer also. I am currently running Windows 7 PRO (64-bit).
Any ideas at all?! I really appreciate you taking the time to read my post and I thank you in advance for your help with this issue!
Astromenda is usually tagged onto another download. My first suggestion would be to download Revo uninstaller portable and show us a list of programs installed on the computer so we can remove the program(s) that originally brought it onto your computer.

Dave, from what I can read on this subject and since he has already ran Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner. He will have to use the Chrome Tools/Extension Tab and delete unwanted extensions and reset Google Search as the default search engine from the settings tab and be sure and clear history.
I just wanted to make sure we got it all, dandl. No sense treating the symptoms if the root cause is still lurking around.
You need to post jpg or png files and the smaller the filesize the better - as long as they are legible. You can try uploading to http://webresizer.com/ to make the filesize reasonable.
