I need to view contents of an old hard drive WD2500JS which came from an XP system. I installed it in a Win7 desktop but the system didn't assign it a drive letter. Disk management shows a primary partition with a tiny EFT system partition and a tiny unallocated area.

If the drive has been encrypted, it may not show a drive letter.

The drive has never been encrypted.

You might try to open elevated command prompt and type diskpart and type "automount enable"
