I have installed windows 7 ultimate 64bit os in my system.
My system showing 2.00, 1.33 Ghz instead of 2.00, 2.00 Ghz in system properties.
My motherboard is 945 cheapset, intel core 2 duo processor 2.00 Ghz E4400 with 3GB ram.
Phoenix award bios.
I want to know that why my system showing processor wrong frequency ?

Regards,
Krunal

Absolutely no idea Krunal, sorry.

I'm meeting with the others this morning (on Skype), I'll ask them if anyone has a clue and get back to you.

Cheers... Jim

Can you add a screenshot of what you're seeing, k.pithwa?

Krunal - I'm pretty sure this has something to do with power saving. The first number (2.0GHz) represents maximum speed, what you can expect when the system is under load. The second number (1.33GHz) is the speed when the system is idling.

Not much point chewing up juice at 2.00GHz when the system does not require it.

David will know for sure, he can correct me if I'm wrong (I don't think I am though).

Cheers... Jim

Thanks Jim, Appreciated.
I understood what you said. 2nd frequency displaying because of power saving, so if it needs to go 2.00 GHz then it can.

Krunal
