Hey, Folks -

Got a little confusion here at home. What is the best malware/antivirus potection? Have know about Malwarebytes for some time. Have looked at Bitdefender and Kaspersky. Supposedly very good. What would be your choice????????

If you are running W7 then just download and install Microsoft Security Essentials in whatever bit your OS is "32bit or 64bit". As for as malware just click on run and run "MRT" which is the malicious removal tool you download each month through MS updates. This is good enough for most home users.
If you need a more robust paid anti virus then Eset, Web Root, Bit Defender or Kaspersky will do.
Their are other free anti virus programs but I find their advertising a little to intrusive and annoying to cope with.

Hi Richard - I'm currently using Avira Free myself. If you're looking for a paid antivirus, you can't go past either Bitdefender or Kaspersky, both offer excellent protection.

Cheers mate... Jim

Well, that's a complete surprise! 🙂

I actually did mean to include ESET. I agree, it would be another excellent choice.

Both Malwarebytes and Kaspersky work together nicely, Mindblower!
