Not sure where to post this so here goes. Every website I visit seems to have a popup immediately that promotes their newsletter, their RSS feed or something. I have tried every popup and ad blocker I can find and nothing works. By the way coming here, an RSS feed box keeps popping up on the left side of my screen blockecking half the page and I can't get it to go away!
HELP?!!

Marci, to remove that "annoying pop-up", simply click the X at the top right side of the pop-up. Which o/s and browser are you using (Vista, 7, etc; IE, Firefox, etc) and which pop-up blockers have you tried, Mindblower!

Well, thanks, but I was hoping for a more permenant solution to stop them from popping up in the first place.
Tried AdBlock, AdBlockPlus, AdFender, and a bunch of others I can't remember.

The only "permanent" solution would be to block JavaScript, but that would have unintended consequences. Most should set a cookie and remember the "state" so it doesn't open again for a period of time.
