All of a sudden I am getting this message on my Laptop - "Your Windows License will Expire Soon"

I scoured the Internet and came up with an article on five different methods in handling this issue.

Could you please provide me with the best way that I should be handling this issue?

Thanks for your support!

Have a good day!

Check your activation for W10, and try to post a screenshot of the message. It may be nothing, but who knows.

We'll also need to know what version of Windows 10 your are currently running. To check your Windows 10 version: open the Start menu and type winver. Click on the item listed as "winver run command". A window should then pop up with your Windows 10 version number. Let us know that version number.

Ok, I have 3 screen shots you are looking for:

Lets go back to the first message I received which was: Your Windows license will expire soon. You need to activate Windows in settings.

Now I am getting these messages:

1) Activate Windows - go to Setting to activate Windows
2) This Copy of Microsoft Office is not activated.
3) Windows Version information

Thanks again for all the support!

Have a good day!

Sounds like your operating system was originally activated via volume licensing, using a KMS key. Questions:

1. Did you buy your laptop second hand? If so, how long ago?
2. Did you purchase a Windows license key or was Windows pre-installed?
3. Was Windows installed through your workplace?

I have done these steps before and it did help, try to read this related article to resolve your concern.

Guys, please read through the OP's comments (and screenshots) properly before posting. This is NOT a generic "Your license will expire soon" message. It is a message relating to a specific issue - "can't connect to your organization's activation server".

Posting links to unrelated articles on external sites is not much help to anyone.

In answer to your questions:

1) This was a second hand laptop that I purchased on eBay with Windows installed.
2) I bought the Laptop in July 2019

Thanks again for all the support!

Have a good day!

Okay, then sorry to say you've been ripped off. Pretty sure your laptop was upgraded to Windows 10 in an enterprise (work) environment. Which means you won't be able to activate until the laptop is reconnected through that organization's server. Which is pretty much an impossibility.

I know of no other way to get round this. You might try phoning Microsoft support and explaining to them what has happened. I have found MS support to be very amenable toward situations such as yours and they might just activate your Windows 10 for you. Definitely worth a try.
