Hey guys, I got hold of a wireless usb adapter without a driver disk. I want to know that if I plug it into a Windows 10 desktop, will Windows automatically detect it so I could set up a wireless connection ?

Hi Claw,

If Windows can find a driver for it, then all is good. If not, you may have to go to the manufacturer's web site and download and install the appropriate drivers.

I prefer using a manufacturer's drivers, myself. Windows drivers can be out-dated sometimes plus they may not provide all the bells and whistles that an OEM driver might provide.

Thanks Richard, I knew about going to the manufactures site but for some reason I must have had a brain freeze, lol. Thanks for such a quick, and helpful reply. See you around buddy.
