The search microscope on my taskbar does not work. I have been all over the web looking for an answer to why it doesn't. No-one has provided an answer.
Please help.
Thanks
Ron

Hi Ron,

Jim here, I will try to assist you. By "search microscope" I assume you are talking about the magnifying glass? See attached image.

First off, some questions:

Please let us know what Windows 10 version you are using.
Is your PC permanently connected to the internet?
What steps, if any, have you taken so far to try and fix this?

Yes the magnifying glass and also the search in the menu with a right click. I am using 20H2 and am always "on line" and always on.
As far as what I what I am doing to solve this issue, I have been all over the web and finally remembered my forum. I have yet to get any solutions EXCEPT someone said Microsoft is aware of the situation ans will be fixing it (I have been waiting, waiting)

Hello Ron. I am also using 20H2 and just completed the latest Windows update. Have you tried the following? Get to the Programs Menu (my way is different from yours) and select Windows Ease of Access. To the right you should see the Magnifier. Move the cursor to the Magnifier tab and right click to get a large menu. Two selections you might consider are Pin to taskbar and Send to, then move right and select Desktop, where you will have a link from your desktop. I was unable to save screenshots. Hope this helps you, Mindblower!
