I was running Windows 7 pro on my Dell Optiplex 780 x64 bit and recently did the free Windows 10 upgrade. But now the PC is running incredibly slow. Before downloading and installing the upgrade I checked to make sure the system was compatible and able to handle it.
Was told that it might be because the Windows 7 operating files were not deleted and the Windows 10 upgrade is running "over" the old Windows 7. (???)
Does anyone know the solution / fix to this problem? Has anyone else had the same experience?
Hey Myles,
Could you please provide the following information:
1. How much free space do you have on the main (system) drive?
2. Could you please go to Control Panel>System and let us know the precise details listed under Processor and Installed memory (RAM)

No, that's not at all correct Myles. Not sure why your system would be running slow after the upgrade but it certainly is not that. I'm thinking to try a Refresh and possibly a Restore, but I'd just like to check a few things first. So, if you could answer those 2 questions for us, that will be a start.
