Have been using SyncToy for manual backuips of my music server library to an external HDD. Recently discovered that a large number of folders in the "master" library were empty when I tried to play them?! Not sure if it was a glitch in the SyncToy app or a PEBCAC error but also just read that SyncToy has been discontinued.
I WAS able to use BeyondCompare to successfully restore the empty folders from the backup. 🙂
However, I am considering use of another app to do these manual one-way backups to add latest additions to server library to the HDD.
Recommendations kindly accepted...

I use SyncBack Free to "mirror" certain folders and partitions to an external HDD. I've been using it for years and find it to be an excellent tool.
