Have been having issues with receipt of ACCESS DENIED messages (with or without VPN connected) so did a search on topic.
Came across app called Advanced System Repair Pro so installed it on Win10 PC with issue and ran analysis. ASRP found a number of issues which it fixed.
I subsequently read that Malwarebytes considers ASRP as malicious and removes it...and it did. I also read that, while ASRP touts being "registered" with Microsoft, this is a FREEBIE and does not mean that MS sanctions it! Ruh!...Roh!
I am not computer savvy enough to check the numerous things checked by ASRP and really like the idea having one app that does it all.
Is there an app either bundled in Win10 or downloadable at reasonable cost which can do analyses comparable to ASRP with minimal intervention from me?
ASRP, Reimage Repair, Restoro, they are all scams and should be avoided.
There is no such thing as a one-stop fix everything solution, any software that claims to do so is a scam.
That said; Tweaking.com Windows Repair will fix many common Windows problems. It's available in free and Pro versions, and a portable version is available.

I've tested the free portable version and it's clean and safe.
Hope that helps.
Too bad about there not being a one-app-does-all.
I will have to say that running ASRP on a machine with boot and speed issue made a huge difference. That being said, I DID uninstall ASRP from my two desktops.
Will check out the Tweaking.com repair app.
Is there an advantage to the Pro version for the average home owner?
Thanks as always.
The Pro version includes 4 additional repair functions:
-
Windows Firewall Cleanup
Missing Package Files - Reg Cleanup
Unhide Hidden Files
Restore Default Printer Ports
Nothing much there to get excited about. I would suggest taking a look at the free portable edition, it includes all the main repair functions.
Go with the portable version and, if it's not what you are looking for, there is no need to uninstall it, just delete the folder.
You are most welcome, I hope that software does the trick for you.
Please let us know how you get on.
